Started its efforts in the field of health since 1996 by providing
   1. Regular free medical camps along with
   2. Free medicine distribution and basic investigations at the camp site .

These camps were held on a regular basis every week in the urban slums in and around Ranchi for almost 4 years. And then RINCHI was born when it was Registered as a Public Charitable Organisation in June ‘2000.

Simultaneously health education and training activities to voluntary health workers of different NGO’s working in the field of health were started in 2000.
A dream to construct and run a multi-speciality charity hospital for the poor residents of Jharkhand state, saw the dawn of the day when its foundation were laid on 26th April 2001 by the then cabinet minister in Jharkhand Government Sri Ramji lal Sharda.

55 bedded charity ward with 20 free beds for poor was inaugurated on 24th Feb 2002 by the then Chief minister Sri Babulal Marandi.

Marching ahead to attain excellence in quality medical care, an advanced PICU, NICU and neonatal unit was inaugurated on 29th May 2004 by the then health secretary Sri P P Sharma.

The hospital has now developed itself into a tertiary care centre with well developed ICU’s and Investigation facilities, Par excellence tertiary Paediatric and Neonatal level-3 care, full fledged highly subsidised outdoor services of all specialties, Round the clock emergency admissions, and diagnostics services.

The efforts of RINCHI were well recognised by Jharkhand Government when it placed its faith on the organisation and handed over four MESO hospitals to be run by RINCHI. These hospitals are situated in remote nuxalite infested areas of Jharkhand, namely Arki, Jonha, Kathikund and Littipara. These hospitals were handed over in February 2009 and within a year they have proved to be health life line in the respective areas

Rural Services:

Are being carried out by RINCHI Management Centre and is being highly supported by Government of Jharkhand. It has under taken four rural hospitals in distant areas in Jharkhand state. They are 50 bedded hospitals, run as per specifications of IPHS and are first referral units. These are:

2. Arki Hospital Dist- Khunti
3. Kathikund Hospital dist- Dumka
4. Littipara Hospital Dist- Pakur

Hard to reach areas are accessed by Mobile Medical Clinics. These are supported by Health Ministry of Jharkhand Government. These are :

Our Focus and our Plans:

  • By mid-2011, we expect to open our “ICU Wing,” designed to help us better serve patients and make care safer and more convenient. The construction is on time and on budget,
  • We must continue to reach new milestones in our health programs and outcomes. In the past 12-18 months, our team has brought a number of new techniques, technologies, and treatments to RINCHI Trust hospital so that our community can gain access to the better levels of care — right here.
  • We will continue to grow our medical staff and make it as simple as possible for physicians to work with our hospital and participate in the care of their patients, both in the hospital and in their offices. Of major importance is the development of electronic medical record compatibility with physicians’ offices, 
  • In terms of our clinical programs, we continue to invest in building specialty services that this community requires — close to home and work. We know that primary care physicians and health workers (and their patients) count upon us for access to high-quality programs, including cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, infectious and tropical diseases, treatment for neonatal and paediatric diseases, the continuum of women’s and child health services, and a full spectrum of surgical and medical cases, their diagnostics and treatment.
  • Continuing to build on our performance measures in quality of care and outcomes is also a priority, coupled with the level of service we provide to each patient. Over the past several years, RINCHI Trust Hospital has risen to the top percentiles in Jharkhand for quality health care to the tribal population in the remotest areas..
